This cohort focuses on creating districtwide systems, policies, and structures to support the role of today’s transformed school counselors and establish programs that ultimately impact student achievement.

Through collaborative workshops, expert-led training, and peer-to-peer support, this cohort equips you with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to lead with impact.

Who IS THIS FOR?

  • District leaders with the capacity to influence the systems and procedures that impact comprehensive school counseling programs and to build awareness with key partners.

  • State or district-level school counseling directors, coordinators, or Counselors on Special Assignment (COSA) who have a role in shaping policies, processes, and systems that directly impact school counselors.

Participants will engage in a year-long cohort consisting of 9 virtual sessions from August 2024 to June 2025. All sessions are conducted virtually through Zoom.

  • $2,500 — includes registration for up to 3 attendees from the same district or organization.

  • Please be aware that the registration fee of $2,500 covers up to three registrations for individuals affiliated with the same district or organization. This fee cannot be used for multiple individuals from different districts or organizations. Each district or organization must complete separate registration processes.

  • A primary registrant for the district or organization must be designated during registration. The primary registrant will receive all communication from Hatching Results about the District Leadership Cohort, and they will be responsible for distributing information to any colleagues from the same district or organization who are also participating. Any additional attendees' names and contact information will be submitted at a later date prior to the cohort kick-off.

What is included?

  • 9 virtual sessions from August 2024 to June 2025

  • Session recordings: access all learning session recordings for 3 months after the cohort concludes *Recordings will be available approximately one week after each session.

  • Due to the nature of the community of practice sessions, they will not be recorded.

FACILITATORS

This cohort is facilitated by two Hatching Results staff members who are former School District Leaders!

Lisa De Gregorio, Executive Director, Outreach and Engagement

Lisa spent more than six years at the Chicago Public Schools district office as Lead K-8 Counselor for hundreds of school counselors, where she participated in the formation of the K-12 School Counseling and Postsecondary Advising Office, developed K-12 professional learning and resources, managed staff and special projects, led policy development and initiatives such as performance evaluation development and the removal of case management duties from school counselors, and conducted school visits throughout the city to work with counselors and administrators.

Mindy Willard, Director, Outreach and Engagement

Prior to her position as the Director of Outreach and Engagement at Hatching Results, Mindy provided support to 50 school counselors while serving as the School Counseling and Transitions Coordinator for the Madison Metropolitan School District in Madison, WI, the second largest school district in the state. During her tenure in Madison, Mindy co-led College, Career, and Community Readiness school-based teams, focusing on fostering coordinated and systemic collaboration across roles. She championed the reduction of middle school counselor ratios by 50%, advocating for the addition of 6 new school counselors and designed professional learning for counselors and administrators aimed at closer alignment with the ASCA National Model.

Cancellation Policy

Your online registration is binding and you are responsible for the cost, whether paying by purchase order or credit card. If you no longer wish to attend, you must cancel or transfer your registration prior to the start of the cohort series. To submit a one-time registration transfer request, contact admin@hatchingresults.com by July 12, 2024. Requests for cancellation or transfer must be submitted in writing to admin@hatchingresults.com. Any refund requests before July 12, 2024, will receive the full amount minus a $100 processing fee. After July 12, 2024, until the start of the cohort series on August 15, 2024, you will receive a 50% refund. Refunds will not be issued after the start of the cohort series.
