Advocating with Integrity Across MTMDSS
Ethics in a Tiered Framework:
School counselors are trusted professionals navigating increasingly complex ethical dilemmas in diverse educational settings. Within a Multi-Tiered, Multi-Domain System of Supports (MTMDSS), school counselors must uphold the ASCA Ethical Standards while delivering data-informed, equitable services across all tiers.
Join our experienced team members for a webinar, an in-person institute (or both!) to sharpen your ethical lens, strengthen your advocacy, and expand your impact across MTMDSS.
In Person Institute –
Ethics in a Tiered Framework: Advocating with Integrity Across MTMDSS
This full-day institute situates ethical practice within a comprehensive school counseling program and explores ethical dilemmas across the academic, college/career, and social/emotional domains. Participants will engage in structured ethical decision-making, reflect on the school counselor’s role in systems change, and apply learning to real-world and emerging ethical concerns.
Through case studies, interactive activities, and collaborative problem-solving, this expanded training will help school counselors strengthen ethical reasoning and advocate with integrity across MTMDSS.
Participants will be able to:
✔️ Analyze ethical responsibilities within a comprehensive school counseling program aligned to MTMDSS
✔️ Apply the ASCA Ethical Standards and decision-making model to real-world case studies across all domains
✔️ Identify and evaluate ethical considerations when designing and delivering Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 lessons and interventions, including emerging dilemmas
✔️ Collaborate ethically with interdisciplinary teams and use data to advocate for equitable outcomes, particularly for marginalized student populations
