Every fall, California’s school counseling community comes together for one of our favorite events of the year—the California Association of School Counselors (CASC) 2025 Conference. This year’s event takes place October 15–17, 2025, in Riverside, California, and the Hatching Results team is thrilled to take part.
From thought-provoking sessions and meaningful awards to reconnecting with colleagues and friends, we can’t wait to spend the week learning, leading, and celebrating with so many of you.

Celebrating CASC Leadership and Lifetime Achievement
This year’s conference is especially meaningful for our team. Many Hatching Results staff members have deep roots in CASC leadership, including several past presidents and board chairs: Paul Meyers, Vanessa Gomez, Danielle Duarte, Amy Dauble-Madigan, Ashley Kruger, Josh Godinez, Lezya Weglarz, and Jordan Blevins.
(Fun fact: Hatching Results’ founder, Trish Hatch, even served as president of the original organization that became CASC!)
We’re also thrilled to celebrate two special recognitions:
Paul Meyers, an early CASC president and longtime advocate for school counseling, will receive the Dr. Loretta Aday Whitson Lifetime Achievement Award at Wednesday’s CASC Awards Ceremony. Read the full CASC press release for more about Paul’s remarkable contributions to the field.
Stockton Unified School District, one of our valued partner districts, will be honored with the CASC Exemplary District School Counselors Award, recognizing the power of system-wide change.

Reflections from Hatching Results President, Danielle Duarte, Ed.L.D.
Ten years after serving as CASC President, Danielle Duarte reflected on how saying “yes” to leadership opportunities shaped her career:
“Seven years on the CASC Board gave me incredible mentors, sharpened my skills, and made me a better school counselor and leader.
That’s why it’s especially meaningful to return to the CASC Conference this fall, 10 years after serving as president. I’m excited to join my Hatching Results colleagues and share new ways we’re helping school counselors amplify their programs!”
As we look forward to another incredible conference, we’re reminded that small steps—saying yes, seeking mentors, sharing knowledge—can have a lasting impact on students and on our profession.
