Brought to you by Hatching Results in partnership with Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation

Based on Dr. Trish Hatch's best-seller, The Use of Data in School Counseling: Hatching Results for Students, Programs, and the Profession, this repeat offering of the Indiana School Counseling Academy will showcase award-winning school counseling models at all grade levels, including successes and lessons learned in the design, implementation, and evaluation of data-driven, comprehensive school counseling programs.

Aligned with Indiana's Gold Star School Counseling and the American School Counselor Association's National Model and Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) recognition, Academy strands specific to elementary and secondary school counselors and school administrators will focus on the following learning objectives:

  • Learn from successful school counseling programs aligned with student outcomes
  • Evaluate current school counseling programs through an academic, college and career, and social/emotional multi-tiered system of support lens for areas of strength and growth
  • Learn best practices in presenting core curriculum lessons and in implementing interventions
  • Utilize data, surveys, assessments, and tools to measure the impact of school counseling programs
  • Understand ways for administrators and school counselors to create a supportive school climate
  • Explore collaboration opportunities between school counselors and various stakeholders

Attendance in teams of school counselor and administrators is encouraged. The academy fee of $499 per person includes:

  • Two days of training for school counselors and administrators
